Ben-Hur - period film errors
While I have written "Ben-Hur" in the topic title here, it could very well apply to many other period or historical films.
Imagine if you will a wristwatch on the main character playing Judah Ben-Hur in every scene?
Though they haven't committed this quite obvious error the fact that one sees a straight white set of gleaming porcelain cap teeth in the main actor is equally bad to my eyes in terms of an error. Especially after spending 5 years in the bowels of a Roman galley as a slave.
I just can't help but think that the dentistry practised around the time of Jesus must have been amazing. Probably explains why Jesus also had a perfect set of teeth in the film.
At the least these actors should have yellowing applied or a dental prosthesis to make their teeth look more realistic and fitting to the times.
There were also a few other things I picked up like machine straight overlocked seams on clothes etc.
Anyhow just an observational post about this increasing (big) problem in films nowadays.
